Thermal Paste

Thermal paste, also known as thermal compound or thermal grease, is a substance applied between the CPU (or GPU) and its cooler to improve heat transfer. It fills in tiny gaps and imperfections on the surfaces of the CPU and cooler, which would otherwise trap air and reduce cooling efficiency. Why Thermal Paste Is Important Improves heat transfer: CPUs and coolers aren't perfectly smooth, so air gaps between them can prevent efficient heat transfer. Thermal paste fills in these gaps, ensuring that heat moves from the CPU to the cooler as efficiently as possible.
